Drum Roll Please :)

I am happy to announce that after much delay we have finally decided on a name!  It's been a bit of a bumpy road, but we were able to come to an agreement as a family.

The Cupcake Gypsies : Statement of Trade Name of a Reporting Entity

We had a few different name ideas we were bouncing around.  I was dead set on The Cupcake Camper to begin with.  It was simple and it just worked.  Although I seemed to be the only one who shared in that sentiment.  Everyone had their ideas about what the best name would be.  Then we found Petunia and she was a game changer.  Since she is a Love Bug we were thinking Love Bug Cupcakes or The Cupcake Love Bug.  It was cute and it also fit the fact that we would be based out of Loveland.  But according to my dad, Richard, it was too feminine.  A couple days after we had won Petunia I was watching a show about gypsies with my boyfriend, Chris, and he said "What about the cupcake gypsies?"  I immediately fell in love with the name.  This last Sunday the fam came down to see the love bug and after meeting her we all decided that together we will be The Cupcake Gypsies!

Welcome Home Petunia!!

The beginning of this week my boyfriend Chris and I took the road trip down to New Mexico to pick up Petunia.  I won her off of eBay,  had put down the deposit and it was on the road we went!  We live in Denver and we had to pick her up from Lordsburg, New Mexico.  It was about an 11 hour drive.  Unfortunately once we got there her previous owner had some car troubles and we ended up waiting almost 2 hours until we were finally able to meet up.  I was a little worried.  I had already fallen in love with Petunia from her pictures.  I knew she was going to take some work but I was up for the challenge.  Plus 11 hours in a car for nothing would be really disappointing.  But thankfully she got her tire fixed and after another 2 hours of fixing the brake lights that had just been vandalized (A story I would rather not re hash) we were back on the road and ready to get her back home!

We immediately started our drive back home.  Even though at that point it was 2 in the morning and we had been on the road since 11 AM the previous day.  We were able to make it a few hours before we decided to pull off and sleep.  So I can officially say I have camped in Petunia (even if it only was in the parking lot of an Aaron's some where off the highway in the middle of New Mexico). After a few hours of shut eye in the pouring rain we decided to finish our trip home.  Petunia is going to be renovated at my home here in Denver but she will be making her way up to her permanent home in Loveland, Colorado after she's all spiffed up!
